From the first phone call to your 3-year warranty — here's exactly what to expect when you hire Moss Boss.
1. Call for a Free Estimate
Give us a call or request a quote online. We'll either give you an exact price or a range depending on the info we have — photos of the roof, square footage, and any add-ons like pressure washing or window washing all help us nail down a precise number.
2. Schedule a Time That Works
Once you're ready to book, we'll find a day that fits your schedule. We'll confirm the appointment and let you know exactly what to expect on cleaning day.
3. Quick Prep Before We Arrive
All we need is access to an outdoor spigot and any side gates unlocked. We ask that you move potted plants about 10 feet away from the house, and park vehicles roughly 10 feet from the roofline. That's it — we handle everything else.
4. Gentle Moss Removal
Working from ladders or safely from the roof (depending on pitch and shingle condition), we use soft polypropylene brooms to gently lift the existing moss off your roof — no pressure washing, no shingle damage.
5. Gutter Clean-Out
Next we clear your gutters and downspouts — either blown out clean or hand-scooped depending on how wet the debris is. Then we clean up every bit of debris from the ground around your home.
6. The Soft Wash Treatment
Now the magic happens. One tech stays on the ground watering all your landscaping and creating a protective 'water wall.' Our roof tech sprays the entire roof with a sodium hypochlorite, soap, and water solution that kills moss at the root. The solution is completely safe once it dries — and it won't reactivate if it gets wet again later.
7. Plant, Window & Vehicle Protection
Throughout the soft wash, we continuously water surrounding plants and shield windows, siding, and vehicles. No plant damage, no window stains, no surprises. This is the part most other companies skip — we don't.
8. Final Walk-Through & 3-Year Warranty
We do a full review of the property with you, answer any questions, and send out your invoice along with your 3-year moss warranty. If recurring maintenance interests you, we'll talk through options — no pressure, just what's best for your roof long-term.
